Getting Traffic to Your Squidoo Lens part 4 - Answers Yahoo
An easy way to get traffic and good karma is to answer questions at Yahoo.
“Everybody” is talking about getting ranked by Google but there is a world outside Google and Yahoo is #2. So here is how get a good Yahoo rank.
You go to http://answers.yahoo.com and sign up for an account (first check if you already have one 
). If you already have use that one.
To look for questions that is related to your expertise = Squidoo lens, write a keyword in the box: “Search for questions” - then click on “advanced” text to the search button.
At the Advanced Search make sure: Keywords: The “Question” radio button is checked
Catetory: if you want you can fine tune your search here
Filter: You don’t have to change this, if you are look for English questions.
Question Status: Check “Open Questions - Best answer has not been chose”
Date submitted: You don’t have to do anything here.
Check “Make this my default search.
Now click the Search button.
The reason you want to check Open Questions, is that you want to answer questions that have not been resolved.
When you have found a question you know the answer to, give a useful answer, you cannot add links and if you do, they will be removed automatically.
At the box below: “Know your source? List it here:” you can add links, add the link to your Squidoo lens.
Yahoo will public the article as part of their promotion of answers.yahoo.com and you get Yahoo to expose your lens for free a win-win situation.
As a member you start at level 1, at that level you are able to answer and ask question but not to rate answers. There are 7 level and the scoring system works like this:
A a start gift you get 100 points
Every time (day) you log in you get 2 ponts.
When you ask a question 3 points are withdrawn from you point account
When you answer a question you get 3 points
When you vote for best answer you get 1 point
If you get your answer to be rated as Best answer you get 10 points.
You need 250 point to reach level 2.

Do this as a weekly routine, set 2-3 hours per week and you will see results of your efforts. After a week check your lensmaster dashboard for search engine traffic and you will see an increase of traffic from yahoo!
