How to Add a Video to Your Squidoo Lens

Here is another post in the How To department . We start with a video from Youtube.

Go to Youtube.com and select the video you want to add to your Squidoo lens

The URL will look like: http://youtube.com/watch?v=MUBlAqTEwFs
copy the last letters (on a PC: right click and choose copy or right click and click CTRL + C buttons)

Then Log in to your Squidoo account:
Click the tab “My Lenses” then hover your mouse over the lens you want to add the video and click “Edit”.
Shown below:

Click on the “Add Modules” button

You will land on the page with basic modules;

Click on the text “Next”

On the next page click “YouTube vids”

Your module is now added as the last module on your lens, this is by default. If you don’t want to have your video there you have to move the module up.

It is done by clicking the button “Preview Lens Layout”, the page expands and you can drag and drop your modules where ever you want them. Click Save

Next you scroll down to your video module:
Click on Edit

This where you give your module a title (important to change the default text for both your visitors as well as the search engines). Also a subtitle if you like and a description.

Then you click on the tab “Select Your Videos”

and tick “Let me Pick”.

Next: “Enter YouTube Video url”, paste the YouTube url you copied earlier. On a PC either right click and chose paste or click CTRL + V buttons.

Click Save and you are done
